It appears 2018 is going to be the year of Oviya. The actress became an overnight sensation post her Bigg Boss stint. She was all the rage on social media. Her fans created hash tags such as ‘Oviya Army’ and ‘Save Oviya Movement’ when housemates on the reality show intimidated her.
Till today she has been in constant touch with her fans through social media. And now, adding to her long list of movies, Oviya has signed her first female-centric movie titled 90ml, which is directed by Anita Udeep of Kulir fame. The first look quirky poster has already gone viral. In the poster, we see Oviya in a cheery mood with a tea glass and a bun in the hand and on the other side there is a wine glass with the title 90ml written on it.
An interesting aspect is that Simbu has been brought on board for music composition. One may recall how Simbu was supporting Oviya during her stint in Bigg Boss and there were even rumours linking them romantically, which both rubbished in no uncertain terms.
STR made his debut as composer with Santhanam’s Sakka Podu Podu Raja last year. He also released a New Year’s party track titled Marana Matta with Oviya lending her voice. The song went viral, thanks to ‘Oviya Army’ and ‘STR Army.’ And now Oviya is all set to conquer more hearts and fans with STR for company in a movie that could help define her career.
