Tamil remakes of T-town flicks in vogue

The film is being directed by Sundar C, and this actor-director combination has evoked a lot of interest among audiences. It appears Tamil remakes of Tollywood films are the flavour of the season once again. After Arya’s Ghajinikanth, a remake of Bhale Bhale Magadivoy, Tamil audiences will soon watch Simbu in the Tamil remake of Pawan Kalyan’s Telugu film Attarinitiki Daredi.

The film is being directed by Sundar C, and this actor-director combination has evoked a lot of interest among audiences. Lyca Productions has announced that it will be bankrolling the project. And though the makers haven’t said that it’s a remake of Attarinitiki Daredi, that’s what reports doing the rounds suggest. The film will release in January 2019.

Meanwhile, actor Aadhi has been roped in to play the lead role in the Tamil remake of Telugu film RX 100. Rumour has it that Taapsee has been approached to play the female lead, but the producers are yet to finalise a director to helm the project.
