Simbu and Gautham Menon have managed to create magic at box office, what with two of their films — Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa and Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada — going on to become hits. While there were rumours that the two would be collaborating again, it is now confirmed that the director has signed Simbu for his next project. And what’s interesting is that AR Rahman will again be working with the duo. A source in the know reveals, “This will be a mass commercial, action entertainer, a first for director Gautham. Simbu will begin shooting for the film once he finishes Sundar C’s project, and Gautham, too, is on the verge of completing Dhruva Natchathiram.
The logo and title will be launched next month.” This is the third film together for the trio.
The source adds, “This is not a sequel to Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa. It will be a different subject. This film will be shot in and around Tamil Nadu.”
