Recently silambarasan crooned a song for Jayam Ravi for the film Thillalangadi. Simbu’s best friend Yuvan Shankar Raja tuned the lyric of Na. Muthukumar.
The number ‘Pattu Pattu Pattam Poochi…vittu vittu kannamuchi..kannukulay kathal katchi naan parthane..’ needed a Simbu kind of voice and hence the director Raja called for Simbu. It was a spontaneous decision of Raja and Yuvan immediately endorsed it.
So why is Simbu of late taking many offers to sing for other actors? Simbu says” I give all my film earnings to my mother and take money from her whenever I need. But When I sing for others the money I get is extra and that is my pocket money”. Smart Silambarasan. Smart decision.
