The latest happening in Kollywood trade is that Silambarasan’s Osthi has joined the Diwali 2011 race. Reliance Entertainments who is marketing the Dharani directed remake of Salman Khan’s Dabangg is now trying to book theatres for a Diwali release!
STR said: “Yes, Osthi will be a Diwali release. We have completed the entire talkie portion and are now doing the song portions. It is the perfect film for the festival audiences.”
Dharani the director of the film says: “Any film that gets released on a festival day gets great mileage. It is a worldwide trend and a festival film gets extra 5 to 10 % additional revenue.”
