Osthi, STR’s latest film was present in almost every tamil cinema fan’s converation for the last one week. The reason was obiviously the rumours on whether the movie is arriving for diwali or not. There was so much buzz around when the team called for a press meet, and when every one thought it was for the update that the young warrior is coming for the clash this diwali. Diwali has been STR’s most favourite release date for his movies .
Many such as Vallavan, manmathan were diwali releases. And his uncompromising attitude when it comes to delivering his film’s for his fans according to their wishes, every one thought that he would go ahead and release his film on the festival of colours.
But what then followed surprised every body , the crew which had a tiring day of shoot of munni song postponed the press meet. The Audio release was postponed to 19th . And there was no official news from the fan’s site. STR fans who were expecting updates were shuttling themselves from one website to another in anxiety. And few websites started spreading negative vibes to the anxious fans. ’Loyalites ,dont worry we have got a very good news for all of you.
STR initially wanted his fans to have a OSTHI diwali. This he announced even before he started the movie. And thus he worked day and night , schedule after schedule tanning himself in the hot sun of mysore for his fans. He wanted to treat his fans with the colour of Khakhi this diwali for their unconditional support they showed him through his good and bad times.
He bursted with love in his status messages stating that his fans are like his blood as he read all their messages and took it as glucose for curing all his tiredness. He almost stayed in mysore as a localite for the past two months and shot continously for marathon time periods. To freshen himslef he played cricket in the evening with the crew members. And as he promised he finished the entire shoot of Osthi in 30 days except for the songs. And the product was ready for a diwali release.
But when Osthi crew was busy in their pre production works the other crews were busy booking the theatres in advance for diwali. But then STR who had worked day and night for his fans did not want to disappoint his fans.
He was adamant in releasing the movie for diwali. Many people from the industry watched the footages praised STR for his efforts and advised him not to enter the already crowded diwali bus because that would affect the collections of this potential super hit. But STR could not let go the diwali gift that he prepared for his fans with love.
Then came the tide which shifted STR’s decision, a group of his loyalites sent a message to STR asking him not to eter diwali race as they would see their STaR only in B and C grade screens and also since RA ONE is releasing in almost 95 percent of the foreign screens the fans from outside India would not able to see their STaR on the Diwali day.And we must also understand that its not only the content which producers make film for there is also their life in it.
Just for proving who is what purposes we should not release the movie among three films which will affect the collection of all films. Though Our producers were very supportive and nodded for diwali’s release STR has advised them to postpone the movie and said that his fans would understand his move and support him.
Hence STR, has decided to post pone the Osthi release and he would be goin to add some more glitz to the movie as he has got more time for the release.
And regarding the Audio , Sony has bagged the rights for Osthi and they have asked for some time to ready nearly one lakh copies of osthi Cds , they have designed a unique three layered case for Osthi and have planned their marketing strategies in a big way.
But we advise the fans not to feel low for this update but be cheer ful as our Thalaivan says ” Yaaru firstu porangrathu mukkiyam ila last la yaaru firstu vanraangrathathu thaan mukkiyam. ” But here is a very special news for all you loyalites await a surprise this diwali. No matter which film you are watching you ll be bleached with Khakhi colour this Diwali.
