Dhanush appeared on a chat show recently on a Vijay TV channel during when he revealed that he was actually a close friend of Simbu. “Contrary to what is painted by the print and television media, we both are close friends,” Dhanush said.
Taking part in the show , Dhanush shared his thoughts on his friendship with Simbu. “I and my ‘most controversial’ friend Simbu are diagonally different on many issues; I do things in a hurry while he is patient and approaches things in a methodical manner. Things in common between us are ,both of us are Kumbha rashi- Sadhaya natchathiram are not easily understood fully by outsiders.
“Not many in the industry are happy that Simbu and I have become friends; some of them have even told me directly to stay away from him. I only feel that they lack maturity but we bother least about those things. The print media had created a wedge between us as we rarely interacted with each other till a few years back. We never had any personal problems between us and only when we accidentally met at a function, we found out that we had nothing against each other despite the professional competition.
“I don’t know why it is disturbing to some, we are remaining as friends and don’t speak or think ill of the other. We have perfect understanding with each other and I hope it continues in the same way in the days to come,” concluded Dhanush, whose speech was littered with innumerable English words.
