Here’s good news for fans of actor Simbu, who finished shooting for Gautham Vasudev Menon’s Achcham Yenbadu Madamaiyada. Sources say the film is likely to hit screens this summer.
But that’s not all. Work on Pandiraj’s Idhu Namma Aalu, featuring Simbu and Nayanthara in the lead, has also been completed, and the film is likely to be released in the first week of April.
“Simbu wound up shooting for Achcham Yenbadu Madamaiyada almost three days ago. With this, the talkie portions of the film have been completed. As per the plan, the entire schedule was supposed to take a month. However, despite an injury he sustained during an action sequence, Simbu was focussed and shot non-stop to finish the portions in just two weeks,” a source close to the film unit said.
He added that once Achcham Yenbadu Madamaiyada’s post-production work is finished, they would know if any patch work is left. “If so, Simbu might have to shoot for a day or two,” the source said. “Apart from that, work on the film is done. With regard to songs, there is just one number left. But the locations for it are yet-to-be finalised. Once that is done, it will be complete. The film, on the whole, has come out exceptionally well,” he added.
The actor was grateful for the support of the cast and crew. “Simbu wanted to express his thanks to every member of the unit who made this effort possible,” said the source, adding that fans can expect Achcham Yenbadu Madamaiyada to hit screens in the May- June period. The film has already triggered huge expectations as it has Gautham Vasudev Menon teaming up with Simbu for a second time after their first film together, Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya (2010) received a pheonomenal response. To add to it, the film also features Manjima Mohan and has music by AR Rahman.
