మాసిన చొక్కా, పైకి కట్టుకున్న లుంగీ, శత్రువుల నుంచి తనను తాను రక్షించుకోవడానికి ఆయుధంగా పొడవాటి కర్ర, ఏదో ఆపద సంభవించిందన్నదానికి ప్రతీకగా భూమి మీద మండుతున్న గడ్డి.. పై ఫొటో చూస్తుంటే హీరో ఏదో పెద్ద ప్రమాదం నుంచి బయటపడినట్లే కనిపిస్తున్నాడు. ఇంతకీ ఈ హీరోను గుర్తుపట్టారా? తమిళంలో ఈయన పెద్ద స్టార్‌. మన్మధ, వల్లభ, పోకిరోడు సినిమాల ద్వారా తెలుగు ప్రేక్షకులకు కూడా ఈయన సుపరిచితుడే. పోస్టర్‌లో ఉన్నదెవరో మీకీపాటికే అర్థమైపోయుంటుంది. అతడు స్టార్‌ హీరో శింబు.
దర్శకుడు గౌతమ్‌ వాసుదేవ్‌ మీనన్‌ దర్శకత్వంలో శింబు ఓ సినిమా చేస్తున్నాడు. నేడు(ఆగస్టు 6) ఈ సినిమా టైటిల్‌తో పాటు ఫస్ట్‌లుక్‌ పోస్టర్‌ను రిలీజ్‌ చేశారు. 'నదిగలిలే నీరాడుం సూరియన్' అని గతంలో పెట్టిన టైటిల్‌ను మార్చివేసి 'వేండు తనిదత్తు కాదు' అని కొత్త టైటిల్‌ను ఫిక్స్‌ చేశారు. ఇక పోస్టర్‌లో అడవిలో అంటుకున్న కార్చిచ్చులో శింబు గాయపడినట్లు తెలుస్తోంది. వేల్స్‌ ఫిలిం ఇంటర్నేషనల్‌ బ్యానర్‌పై ఇషారి కె గణేశ్‌, అశ్విన్‌ కుమార్‌ ఈ చిత్రాన్ని నిర్మిస్తున్నారు. ఏఆర్‌ రెహమాన్‌ సంగీతం అందిస్తున్నాడు. శింబు ప్రస్తుతం మానాడుతో పాటు పాతు కల(కన్నడ 'ముఫ్తీ' రీమేక్‌) సినిమాలు చేస్తున్నాడు.

Shimbu is making a film under the direction of director Gautam Vasudev Menon. Today (August 6) the first look poster along with the movie title was released. They changed the title from 'Nadigalile Neeradum Suriyan' to 'Vendu Tanidattu Kadu' and fixed the new title. In the poster, it seems that Shimbu was injured in a forest fire. The film is being produced by Ishari K Ganesh and Ashwin Kumar under the banner of Vels Film International. AR Rahman is providing the music. Shimbu is currently working with Maanadu & Patu thala (Kannada 'Mufti' remake).
