‘గతంలో నిర్మాత స్రవంతి రవికిశోర్, రామ్తో కలసి ఒక ప్రాజెక్ట్ స్టార్ట్ చేశాం కానీ మధ్యలోనే నిలిచిపోయింది. ఇటీవలె మళ్లీ రామ్ను కలిశాను. వచ్చే ఏడాది మా ఇద్దరి కలయికలో సినిమా ఉంటుంది’ అని దర్శకుడు, నటుడు గౌతమ్ వాసుదేవ్ మీనన్ అన్నారు. శింబు హీరోగా నటించిన ‘లైఫ్ ఆఫ్ ముత్తు’ చిత్రం ఈ నెల 17న విడుదలవుతోంది. ఈ సందర్భంగా ఆయన మీడియాతో మాట్లాడారు.
"In the past, we started a project with producer Sravanti Ravikishore and Ram, but it stopped in the middle. I met Ram again recently. Next year we will have a film together,' said director and actor Gautham Vasudev Menon. The film 'Life of Muthu' starring Simbu is releasing on 17th of this month. He spoke to the media on this occasion.
‘లైఫ్ ఆఫ్ ముత్తు’ గ్యాంగ్స్టర్ చిత్రం. పల్లెనుంచి ముంబై వెళ్లిన ముత్తు అక్కడ గ్యాంగ్స్టర్కు ఎందుకు మారాడు, ఎలా ఎదిగాడు అనేది చిత్ర కథ. లవ్, రొమాన్స్, యాక్షన్ అంశాలు పుష్కలంగా ఉన్నాయి. శింబుతో ముందు లవ్స్టోరి చేయాలనుకున్నాను. కానీ ఈ కథ నచ్చడంతో దీన్ని పట్టాలెక్కించాను.
'Life of Muthu' is a gangster film. The film tells the story of how Muthu, who moved to Mumbai from the village, became a gangster there and how he grew up. There is plenty of love, romance and action. I wanted to do a love story with Simbu first. But I liked this story so I took it up.
శింబు స్టార్ అయినా, ఇమేజ్ ఉన్నా, 20 ఏళ్ల కుర్రాడిగానూ కనిపించగలడు. గ్యాంగ్స్టర్గా మెప్పించగలడు. తెరమీద కనిపించేది శింబు కాదు ముత్తు అని ప్రేక్షకులు నమ్మేలా చేయగలిగారు. పాత్రకు తగ్గట్టు తన రూపాన్ని మార్చుకోవడానికి మూడు నెలలు పట్టింది. ఈ చిత్రానికి రెండో భాగం కూడా ఉంది. అలాగే విక్రమ్ ‘ధ్రువనక్షత్రం’ ఈ ఏడాది ఆఖరులో రిలీజ్ చేస్తాం.
Even if Shimbu is a star or has an image, he can look like a 20-year-old boy. He can impress as a gangster. The audience was made to believe that it was Muthu and not Simbu who was seen on the screen. It took her three months to change her look for the role. There is also a second part of this film. Also, Vikram's 'Dhruvanakshatram' will be released at the end of this year.
