The makers have officially announced that the film’s Telugu title has been finalized as “Samrajyam” (Empire).On Friday, NTR shared the promo of “Samrajyam” on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).The promo features intense dialogues like:“The police have filed a case against you, claiming you murdered three people in one night. Do you accept this crime?” “I have nothing to do with the murder they’re talking about, Amma. That night I went to see my friend’s film Gang Leader, believe me. I wasn’t even in town when the murder happened.” “This is completely fabricated, Amma (referring to someone named Jadna)... I’m innocent, Amma!”
The makers described “Samrajyam” as ‘an untold story from the world of Vada Chennai.’ Reportedly, the film is set in North Chennai, and Sai Pallavi has been approached to play the female lead.
According to the production team, “The first shooting schedule has been completed, and the second will begin soon. Kalaipuli S. Thanu will release the Telugu version of the film in collaboration with Suresh Productions.”irector Vetrimaaran’s earlier film “Vada Chennai,” starring Dhanush, was released in 2018 and became a blockbuster hit.
