Ganesh, the actor who played Simbu’s mentor in Gautham Menon’s super hit Vinnathaandi Varuvaayaa, is back in action in Vaanam, again with Simbu. “I’m doing a cameo in the film, in which Anushka and Bharath will play the lead roles alongside Simbu. Prakashraj is doing a pivotal character. Yuvanshankar Raja is scoring the music and Nirav Shah is handling the camera,” said Ganesh, who is also co-producing the film.“I liked the way the original version of Vaanam (Vedam, starring Allu Arjun, Manchu Manoj and Anushka), was made in Telugu. But I feel the Tamil version is going to be even better as we have tried to incorporate several elements that were missing in the original. Though we are going to make a lot of changes to suit the Tamil audience, the essence of the storyline will remain the same,” he added.
